Guidelines for Our Community

Code of Conduct

These guidelines help us maintain a respectful, safe and focused environment for every student at Dhyana Yogshala.

By joining any of our yoga teacher training courses or retreats, you agree to follow the code of conduct below. Please read carefully before you begin.

  1. Attendance

100% attendance is mandatory for all students to obtain eligibility for course completion. Students must provide an application of leave or absence in case of sickness or any other reason.

  2. Punctuality

Always be a few minutes early or on time for class. No student will be allowed to enter the hall once the class has started.

  3. Self-Study Hours

Self-study, self-meditation and self-practice hours mentioned in the schedule have no teaching faculty involved and are not mandatory to be practiced in the yoga hall. You may do the same in your room or other places. These hours are intended as a guideline to help you plan your schedule and deepen your practice during the course.

  4. Photos & Media

Photographs, video and other digital content acquired during the course may be used by the school for marketing purposes. We maintain a healthy relationship by tagging you in photos or videos shared on our social media if you wish to take part. If you do not want to be included for personal reasons, please inform management within 48 hours after the ceremony and you will be carefully excluded.

  5. Withdrawal & Refunds

In case of withdrawal or discontinuation of the course by any student due to personal or other reasons, there will be no refund or reimbursement of the course fees.

  6. Natural Conditions

Natural conditions such as heavy rainfall, dampness or other weather-related issues are beyond our control, and the school shall not be held responsible for them.

  7. Outside Stay & Meals

During the course, if any student voluntarily chooses to stay outside the premises or make their own meal arrangements, no refund or adjustment of the paid fee will be provided.

  8. Visitors

Guardians, friends and outsiders are not allowed to enter the yoga hall or classroom at any time. Any such act may lead to serious action.

  9. Active Participation

Students must participate in all indoor and outdoor activities organized by the school as part of the program. Excuses for absence will be considered only in genuine cases.

  10. Personal Belongings

Students must take good care of their own belongings, bags and bottles brought to class. Management will not be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred.

  11. Food in the Yoga Hall

Food, snacks, cool drinks and other edibles are not allowed in the yoga hall.

  12. Yoga Props

Yoga mats, blocks, belts, bolsters and other props provided by the school must be handled with care and returned to their original spots after each session. Mishandling or breakage may require replacement or reimbursement.

  13. Smoking & Alcohol

Smoking and consumption of alcohol are strictly prohibited inside the premises.

  14. Gambling & Unlawful Behavior

Gambling of any kind and unlawful behavior inside the premises are not allowed.

  15. Prohibited Articles

Use or storage of prohibited, inflammable or banned articles, drugs or commercial goods is not allowed on the premises.

  16. Misconduct & Personal Relations

Misconduct with other students or staff members is not tolerated. Exchange of money, gifts or valuables, or personal relationships conducted with wrong intention, are strictly prohibited. Management will not be held responsible for personal friendships or relationships formed during the course, nor will it encourage or entertain related outcomes. Such matters must be settled outside the premises at one’s own risk.

  17. Leaving the Premises

Going outside the school without permission is not allowed. If you leave without notice and any incident occurs, management will not be held responsible.
